Fics like what fairytales don't tell you about the wicked stepmother

In fifteen years of marriage, Alicent has never met her stepdaughter Rhaenyra - the daughter her husband Viserys cherished more than he ever did his other children. But the evasive Rhaenyra eventually resurfaces - during Viserys' funeral. As Alicent tries to navigate her new life as a widowed mother, she also tries to navigate her new and strange relationship to the walking mystery that is Rhaenyra. Family, strangers, friends, enemies: what are they to one another? What could they be? Maybe things could go well, if only Viserys - dead as he might be - didn't manage to ruin it all from beyond the grave. OR: a meet-cute at a funeral, followed by a tense legal dispute about Viserys' freakin' will (because isn't that the modern-day equivalent to what happened in the show?)
