Fics like today i drove through the suburbs, and pictured i was driving home to you

Penny gives her rides to school when Constance’s car is too full of the boys, or if Ricky needs his wheelchair for the day and has to stow it in the backseat. Riding with Penny is kind of wonderful. It’s just the two of them, more often than not, and Penny always brings her tea. They have different music tastes, but Ocean always enjoys whatever playlist Penny has on, and she’s come to look forward to listening to what Penny has playing. She gets to sit in the front seat when Penny drives her, and she’s not crammed in the middle of the backseat because she’s the smallest, squashed between Noel or Mischa and Constance’s baby brother’s car seat. Ocean hadn’t really thought about how pretty Penny is before she started driving Ocean to school. / or; Ocean falls in love with Penny while she drives.
