Fics like Seia Ascar

Written for matrimcauthon21 for the 2022 Wheel of Time Secret Santa. After the Last Battle, Mat finds himself at loose ends until he runs across someone who leads him to a new purpose. Pips greeted him with a soft whicker, and Mat stroked his nose. A good, sturdy gelding. Deep enough chest and strong enough legs to carry Mat through the Last Battle, but not showy. Tied up next to Pips, Jeade'en tried to nose in to get a pet as well. After a moment, Mat relented. Jeade'en was too tall for his personal tastes, but he- he appreciated that Elayne had let him take the horse out of her stables. Tai'daishar had gone missing after the Last Battle. Mat hadn't known him well but he'd been a stoic horse and trained for war, so Mat wasn't sure what could have driven him to run off. Hopefully he hadn't ended up facing Trollocs on his own. But at least Mat could take care of Jeade'en. He'd always had- he'd always had a soft spot for horses.
