Fics like the bite that binds (the gift that gives)
Nicky ends up late to dinner through a combination of truly irritating factors barely even worth thinking about on a normal day. This isn't a normal day though, and he's late, and a beautiful man who might still smell very much like Nicky is waiting for him, and Nicky wants to see him very badly. If he's still waiting at all, that is. In the human parts of his mind, Nicky knows ten minutes isn't the end of the world. The wolf worries though, and it puts Nicky on edge. A year isn't so long, in the grand scheme of things. It's long enough to fall in love though.
