Fics like I think I'll let it burn

The air is still– Almost too still, too contrasting to the way Jaeyun's mind is running a mile per hour, thoughts thrashing around like annoying bugs towards the light. He is hyper aware of his whole body, the way he is sitting, the way heat emanates off of the other person in the room in pulsating waves. He huffs out a breath and his eyes refocus on his target. Donggeon looks right down at him with disconcerting, watchful eyes, tongue darting out to wet his lips as Jaeyun sighs again. It isn't uncommon for Jaeyun to find himself in this position– waiting with a bated breath, the weight of the world on his shoulders as he patiently rounds for Donggeon's next move, to be stripped of his most agonizing thoughts and consequently brought back into his sharp mind again right after. That's what he's doing right now. Willingly giving himself up for a moment; just for a tiny moment, until he can stop fighting with his mind every time the room gets too quiet.
