Fics like Somehow It's Worse

"As Leo popped out the manhole cover, his cheeks were immediately attacked with a fierce, cold wind, pricking his skin with a million tiny knives as the rest of his body ascended. The cold twisted in his stomach, hollowing a void as it dug deeper and deeper inside him. Leo’s shoulders hiked up to his ears, quickly aching from the tension yet unwilling to relax. Everything hurt. Like, physically hurt. His body was so stiff and tense but it rattled like he was on top of a washing machine. Leo never remembered being cold hurting so bad." Mixing my chronic syndrome (which flares to due cold weather) with some good ol' fashion mutant turtles. (More in the notes section). Cold weather and cold blooded species do not mix well, especially so for Leonardo. Fortunately, his willpower is strong, strong enough to push away the fierce side effects of the cold! At least... hopefully for long enough.
