Fics like scorch

Geralt is up the stairs and at the door to their room the moment he hears Jaskier cry out, denting the doorknob with the force of his grip. The bard has been distant and spacy–more so than usual, which is saying a lot–and it’s had him on high alert. For once, Jaskier hasn’t been willing to talk about what he’s been worrying about, but after the mountain there are so many sharp edges left between them that he’s never quite sure where their limits are. Still, if nothing else is true in his life, he answers when Jaskier cries out. It only occurs to him when he opens the door hard enough to make it rebound off of the wall that there are multiple reasons for the bard to be vocal. Such as the man kneeling before Jaskier, who is seated on the bed with his eyes shut and head thrown back, exposing the smooth, pale column of his throat, dextrous fingers laced through chestnut hair- The movement of air moves scent towards him, and Geralt freezes, frowning and inhaling more deeply. Jaskier’s scent, heavy and rich with want…but no one else’s. (netflix said jaskier would fuck his clone, and i said BET) (mind the tags--not non-con, but consent is all kinds of fucked up in this)
