Fics like Splintered Heaven

“You shouldn’t be so afraid to look at me with what we are about to do,” Seonghwa whispers so quietly, Hongjoong thought he had imagined it, the hand sliding onto his thigh forcing him to the realization that he had definitely spoken. He can feel the heavy gaze Seonghwa had laid upon him before he could even lift his own off his knees, the fear of what was to come gripping his heart, so harshly it was pulling on weights with every beat. “I’m not afraid.” — Crown Prince Hongjoong is given an ultimatum to produce an heir to keep his family’s crown, but his Alpha wife remains infertile. The idea of a surrogate concubine is suggested in lieu, but Seonghwa brings much more to Hongjoong’s life than his stable crown.
