Fics like Turn You Inside Out

Best friends Dylan and Travis had it all figured out. They would both become Sentinels like their fathers, ace their way through the Centre’s rigorous training and they would both take on the world. Only, this doesn’t happen for Dylan. Instead of coming online as a powerful Sentinel, he suffers the humiliation of being a Guide. It devastates him and his family. But not so for Travis. Travis is pleased at the new turn of the events, elated even, at the prospect that Dylan would be his Guide, his partner, his. The sudden dizzying change in Dylan's circumstances and the possessiveness of his best friend scares Dylan enough to give everything up and just run. Run far away so he could pretend he was just like everyone else. But Travis isn’t willing to let his Guide get away from him so easily.
