Fics like can't come to your party 'cause i think that i'm dead

“I kill vampires a few times a week,” Ava says. “This happens to hundreds, thousands of people.” Beatrice nods. “And there’s only one of me. Only one Slayer. And you expect me to save all of them.” “Not all of them,” Beatrice says. “That’s not how it works. We can’t save everyone, Ava. No one can. But some of them, yes. You can stop some of this if you work with me.” (Ava is the first Slayer in history to be raised from the dead by her calling. Beatrice is the youngest Watcher in history to be assigned full-time to a Slayer. It's just her luck that this particular Slayer wants absolutely nothing to do with her own destiny.)
