Fics like Speed Witches

Future fic set in a Strike Witches version of the 1990s. Nearly fifty years after the end of the Second Neuroi War and only a few years removed another neuroi war, the world's witches take part in a motorsport like no other. When a down on her luck 21 year old ace witch named Michelle Taranto meets a now retired and coupled Shirley Yeager and Gertrud Barkhorn, she gets roped into a project Shirley had been concocting for years, racing in the infamous Striker Air Racing Championship. Now flying Shirley's as "Speed Witch", Michelle takes part in an adventure spanning multiple continents on tracks eight miles long at speeds topping 500 miles an hour. With money, fame, glory, and a sense of purpose on the line, Michelle and the retired witches of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing find out what it means to be a witch in a world at peace.
