Some of them were the terrifying monsters that he’d feared hid beneath the frayed bed skirt in his room while others were tragic people leading tragic lives. His therapist told him he had trust issues. Privately, John thought that he had Cursed issues; he attracted enough of them. Maybe he could blog about that. “I play the violin when I’m thinking and sometimes I don’t talk for days on end. Also, I’m Cursed; reanimated corpse of a sort. Would that bother you? Potential flatmates should know the worst about each other.” The creature smiled, a ghastly, fake thing that stretched his face too impossible dimensions and made John’s skin tingle with fear.
