Fics like I've been callin' you friend, I might need to give it up. // The Music Freaks

Jake looked beat up. His eyes were glossy, red from what Drew could only assume was crying. His hair was messy, tufts sticking out in all the wrong places, and he wasn’t even staring at his friend when he opened the door. His eyes were locked onto the floor, one of his feet awkwardly kicking the ground. Drew didn’t catch himself staring before Jake stared up at him, his mouth curving into a beaten smile. Only then did he notice how flooded his eyes were with tears. “Dude… You look like shit.” Drew blurted out, causing a quiet laugh to escape Jake’s lips. The tired male rubbed his eyes, attempting to wipe off the tears from his cheeks. “I’m aware, can I come in now?”
