Fics like you took my heart (and ate it)

The week goes pretty typically – as typically as it can go at Mythic Quest, with Ian and Poppy tearing at each other’s throats while David tries to wrangle them into some sort of cohesive, functioning unit. He only cries in his car twice that week. To be honest, he barely even thinks about Brad and the kiss and his hands on his face and the tequila on his lips. Okay, so maybe he does think about it. A little. He shares an office with the guy, so it’s kind of hard not to think about it, hard not to keep stealing glances at Brad’s mouth whenever he takes a sip from his decaffeinated black coffee out of his black reusable coffee cup. He needs to talk to – he’s gotta talk to someone. Brad drunkenly kisses David at a work party, and David tries really, really hard to stop thinking about it.
