Fics like when the world ends

Tears prick his eyes, and he squeezes Ayan's hand a little bit tighter. He can't do it– he can't bear leaving Ayan alone, but he also knows that he has to move now, if he wishes to stay alive. Ayan is slowly losing consciousness, if his slow blinking and pale complexion that Akk can see clearly in the darkness are anything to go by, and the fingers wrapped around Akk's hand are slowly losing their grip, making Akk reach back to it desperately. "No no no Ayan, please– " "Just go, Akk," Ayan whispers just slightly louder, meant to urge the taller man to leave him already, but it attracted unwanted attention instead. The sounds are clearer this time as they have definitely figured out there are humans in the building, just around the sharp corner. They are dragging their feets faster and Akk feels like his heart is about to leap out of his chest. He takes one more glance of Ayan's worried expression- fuck, he's worried about me when he's the one who's literally bleeding to death right here with the possibility of zombies biting his flesh off in a matter of seconds now?– and makes his decision. If Ayan's going to die here, then so is he.
