Fics like an opening, petal by petal

At the celebration feast, Nilou asked Cyno if he would be happy continuing to be the General Mahamatra. Cyno said, “It’s not about being happy. There are merely a lot of things that I must do.” Alhaitham can’t say for certain why Cyno’s words bothered him. In a way, the sentiment is unsurprising; Cyno is, after all, dutiful to a fault. If he ever allowed someone like Alhaitham to witness it. Which he certainly never would. Or: In the midst of the Akademiya’s rebuilding, Nahida sends her closest advisors on a trip through Sumeru.
