Fics like Swinging At My Shadow (Calling It Your Name).

The banal truth is that there is nowhere for you to go, really. All of Tokyo, all of Japan, maybe all of the world harbours nothing for you, not anymore. Even if it does, for a time, it won’t be forever. The things you love will end up making you miserable again, so why try? It’s why you’re here, after all. It’s the reason you moved away from Shibuya, away from your friends. It’s why you were fired. It’s why you can’t even think about music or friendships or anything from your old life without feeling nauseous. You wonder, hardly for the first time, if there is anything or anyone that could ever make you feel okay again. (persona 5 reader-insert, multiple endings, mostly canon-compliant)
