Fics like the nowhere bones

A flash of something, of scuffed boots too big for him edging closer to a crumbling cliff side. A flicker of memory, a moment of stifling heat and unbearable defeat and the feeling that maybe, maybe, it was his time. “It’s never my time to die,” Tommy says, grinning, and sticks out one muddied hand for the man to shake, “I’m Tommy. Wanna build a base or something?” He’s scrutinised briefly by keen green eyes. “Dream,” the stranger replies lightly, “wanna be friends?” (Or, The server reset happens almost according to plan. Fate with the face of a familiar figure, however, hasn’t finished with Tommy and Dream.)
