Fics like Between Two Worlds

After Ziyal's death, Garak is horrified to learn about what a standard Starfleet funeral would entail. Together, he and Major Kira must plan a funeral that suits both of their cultures, and of course, Ziyal. --- Garak took Ziyal’s hand. It was cold, but he held it just the same. He felt himself go still, like a regnar waiting in the sand, hiding. At some point, Kira put her hand on his shoulder and squeezed softly before leaving the infirmary. She had to go back to her post. The station had to be re-taken, any damage or sabotage from Dukat had to be assessed. Work had to go on, but nobody was looking for a tailor now. There was nothing to do but sit with her.
