Fics like The Last Supper

My own fascination with Perivale's wayward daughter came about thanks to an early 90s repeat of Battlefield on BBC2. From then I was hooked, devouring the VNAs, comics & audios, but always sad she never got a farewell onscreen, subsequently ending up with at least a dozen different endings in the expanded universe. Then came the Power of the Doctor and with it that ever elusive mistress, closure. For all its charms and its flaws, seeing Ace come face to face with her beloved Professor once again was a moment I hadn't realised I'd been waiting over thirty years for. And yet with TPOTD, as with At Childhoods End, I found myself mourning all the fates that were no longer cannon. Farewell Time Lord Ace, adios to the gun-toting space bitch in crinoline. The thought of the Doctor and Ace just arguing and going their separate ways seemed too small. So I've decided they're all true. Whichever is your favourite version of Ace, she's real, she's off blowing stuff up with Nitro-9 and generally getting into trouble. And here's my contribution to chuck in the mix, it might be my last for a while, I feel like telling new stories. We're all stories in the end after all, but the really good ones go on forever.
