Sleep paralysis is a potentially frightening phenomenon which may occur before falling asleep or upon waking. During an episode, studies have gathered hallucinations to be likely while the sleeper is aware but incapable of movement or speech, often able to see, hear, feel or sense a presence in the room. This ‘presence’ is frequently reported as an intrusive figure which may be accompanied by whispers, feelings of pressure on the body and an intense emotional response. Historically, it has been regarded as a ‘demonic visitation.’ "Nope! Ha-ha, nope, fuck this." Jisung kicks away on his desk chair, abandoning both the website and a particularly stunned Chan altogether. "'Potentially frightening' my fucking ass." - Chan can't fall asleep. When he feels like he's tried every method to help him relax, a particular youtuber who creates ASMR content catches his attention, and the sound of his voice helps.. until it doesn't.
