Fics like Borne of Emotion

Inspired by Borne of Caution, by Fuggman. I was asleep for the end of the world. Not as in, it happened without me noticing, but rather, when the reality of nuclear Armageddon sunk in, I decided I would rather die in my sleep. I expected to have some sort of reaction besides falling asleep — something like what I'd read about once, where as the feeling slipped away from my limbs I suddenly wanted to live more than anything, or something. But no, all I could feel was relief that I wouldn't have to experience any screaming, or feel myself atomize right before the end. What surprised me more than the peace I felt was the fact that I woke up. A Pokemon Journey combining aspects from multiple canons, which I promise is not as dour as the idea of nuclear armageddon implies.
