Fics like Hoping for some magic (to make your heart beat next to mine)

Every little thing reminded Steven that he hadn't seen Andrew properly since their Dish Granted episode together. Even though they had texted a bit over the past year or so, talking felt awkward and distant, as if long strolls on the beach where they shared a lot (and so much more than they thought they would) had never happened. They were like acquaintances talking online; as if they had lost that spark that made their friendship feel like a warm fire on a cold night. (Steven thinks he fucked up after almost kissing Andrew. Shane thinks Steven is actually Andrew's gay/bi/pan awakening.)
