Fics like Strictly Dancing

Professional dancer Charlie Spring has long been asking for a male partner on the celebrity dance show he works on. He finally gets his wish, but is told in no uncertain terms that this is just an allyship thing. So much for good representation. Rugby player Nick Nelson learns that his manager has agreed to let one of the lads star in a celebrity dance competition with a male partner. It’s absolutely a PR stunt to quash rumours of homophobia in the league, but Nick is just excited to play this tiny part in queer TV history. Romance is the last thing on either of their minds, but when they cross paths the night before filming is due to begin, 'something more' is bound to blossom. tldr; this is a dance fic in name only, but it's really about the magic of queer joy and carving homes in safe places because the world sometimes sucks. Featuring crop tops and make up and healed Charlie and proud Nick and all the love in my gay lil heart.
