Fics like Fall of a Glass Hammer

“How you feelin’?” “I feel…” And Ashton has to stop themself there for a moment. He felt remarkably fine, but he didn’t think he could really move, let alone get up or defend himself right now. That should make him angry. That should make him scared, too, which should make him really angry. But he wasn’t angry. The faun seemed. He wanted to think nice, but if she hung around him, she probably wasn’t. Not entirely, at least. “Weird,” They settled on, “I feel weird.” “Well, that’s okay,” She said, “You are weird, so.” “You’re a little nervous, aren’t you-?” Ashton stalls again, hopes it sounds like a natural end to the sentence. He’s increasingly convinced he actually knows the faun, that her name is on the tip of his tongue but he can’t quite spit it out. ___ If you’ve been eyeballing this but aren’t sure you want to wade through the introductory chapters, the main author recommends trying either Chapter 7 or Chapter 10 as a “test chapter”. People/relationships untagged is insignificant. Additionally, see notes for details regarding updates and content warnings.
