Based on a gif prompt on tumblr Steve's swamped with cases while Danny's in Jersey to testify, he hadn't had time to deal with his hair. Either to get it cut or dye out the silver hair that's been popping out. Danny invites him to a baseball game in Jersey as a mini getaway.
