Though Samos' hut was the only standing remains of Sandover village, it wasn't the only remains. While in Dead Town on a trophy hunt for Krew, Jak, Daxter and Sig find that the hidden basement to Jak's old home, where his uncle stored his belongings, managed to remain hidden from the Metalheads. And while investigating the find, Sig finds some interesting information in the Explorer's journal.
