Fics like Drop The Gloves

One could think getting betrayed by who you thought was your best friend would be the bottom of the barrel. But for Bucky, it really just sits on the pile of previous betrayals coming from various sources, topped by having to navigate being a part of a new ice hockey team all by himself. The fact that the person who should be the biggest help is Sam Wilson...does not help. Join Bucky on his journey in a new team, accommodating to the (strange, in his opinion) way they do things and the way Sam leads them as the new Captain America. It won't be a smooth journey but maybe, just maybe, it will get Bucky exactly where he needs to be. // enemies to lovers, Steve is problematic and Bucky has a lot of issues to sort through. Warning! This work will deal with the following topics: outing, homophobia, sexism, fat shaming, racism, trauma, betrayal, injuries, mental health problems, and others (will be mentioned at the beginning of each chapter because the general tag list was too short). All held together by the wonderful game that is ice hockey. Enjoy?
