Fics like This is Life

Meet Jason Nesmith, Kendall Weston, and Emma Connors. Their lives are anything but simple, the world around them is ugly, messy, unlike them and their friends. For first grader Jason his life had been turned upside down, thrust into a world that is better than the one before even though it looks worse from the outside. A chance meeting with two girls, Emma Connors, and Kendall Weston will forever change the shape of his life, but theirs as well. The quest for figuring out what love and family really are is messy at times, but worth every second of it. Through Emma and Kendall Jason will learn the truths of our world probably before most boys should. With them, and others that they meet along the way he'll figure out what family really is. There will be heartbreak along the way, tragedies unseen, and discoveries yet unmade. This is life, and life is sometimes messy...
