Fics like Past Tangled Roots

A young boy, exploring in the woods, accidentally finds himself in a world of bugs. A place that feels more like home to him than his real home does. A place that warns before he enters to "Be Sure." Quirrel finds the Archives and adapts to the new world with some help from the Teacher. As he grows up, a time limit approaches. Before he turns 18, he must decide whether he wants to live in this world of bugs and dreams, or go back, and learn to live as a human in a world that he was born into, but never quite fit in. A Wayward Children interpretation of how Quirrel came to Hallownest, why he came back, and what happened at the blue lake.
