Fics like Everybody Likes You

"I, Yamaguchi Tadashi, have confessed to Tsukishima Kei a total of twelve times in my life." In which Yamaguchi has confessed to his childhood best friend twelve times (and counting) in their life, only to be ignored. It isn't until a victory in volleyball that he realizes that he actually wants *more.* "I was too busy hating myself to consider that you didn’t. Because if you liked me, then I… I would’ve had to accept that I liked you too." In which Tsukishima is too busy trying to ignore and invalidate his own feelings to even recognize Yamaguchi's confessions are genuine. Neither of them thinks they are enough, or that they want each other in the same way they are wanted, and yet both of them are. Figuring that out takes more effort, it turns out, then any read block or jump float serve, but the ending that awaits both of them is well worth the (excessive) heartbreak.
