Fics like once upon a time, i existed. now i’m just a myth like you used to be.

"Can you show me magic?" Peter asks Loki with hope in his eyes. Loki's throat feels tight. Not that he's gonna cry or anything, it's just, he has been on Midgard for a long time because he's a bit scared to go anywhere else, and on Midgard he spends his time stealing looks, not letting anybody know that he is Loki, the villain, and when he decides to rest a little, when he decides to be Loki- this child comes, asks him for help because he got lost in the dark, in the rain, acts like he doesn't know him when he does. Isn't he even a little scared that Loki might do something to him? Kidnap him, maybe? Hurt him? Torture him? Isn't this reckless child scared that the person he is counting on to find his uncle and aunt, is Loki? A monster? "Um." Peter says, voice low. "Did you hear me? Can you show me some magic?" "Sure," Loki breathes and tries to smile. He gets down on his knees and lifts his arm. He shows Peter his hand, closes it, and then opens it again. Fireworks comes out of his palm. ——— Loki goes to Midgard and decides to stay there for a while. One day, he meets a very reckless child who goes by the name “Peter Parker”.
