Fics like anything, anything
It isn’t before Will is inside Mike’s two-bedroom apartment for the first time that Mike realizes a part of him had expected the world to implode as soon as he stepped past the threshold, as if Will’s presence in Mike’s apartment would trigger some sort of ancient curse or something. The world doesn’t implode. But it’s a strangely sobering feeling, having this person who used to know everything about him, who used to practically live in his house, eye the wall decorations and the furniture with none of that age-old familiarity. Or: Five years after the Byers family leaves Hawkins, Mike and Will rediscover each other within a small apartment in New York.
