Fics like new year, new me
It’s been one month since Bai He got her body back. One month since the defeat of Lady Bone Demon. Three weeks since she reunited with her grandpa. Two weeks since she became a regular at Pigsy’s. One week since she noticed Macaque loitering at the foot of the shop; six days since she invited him in for noodles. One day until New Year’s, and she’s in the bathroom, wondering if she can wish for a new set of eyes, hands, mouth, face, soul. Wondering when she'll stop being afraid of her own reflection. An hour before midnight when someone finally tells her what she’s desperately needed to hear all this time. Or: macaque and hostess, against the world.
