Fics like boys are so pretty
"He told her about this pull he’s always had towards pretty things. Not just because he likes pretty girls, but because he wants to be pretty like them. He wants the skirts that move when he walks and flows around him, and the makeup that he can change everyday to whatever mood he's feeling. The nail polish, not so much, but he had liked it once, maybe he could again. He doesn't want it all the time, but he wants it enough that he knows it's not the norm." or, Steve likes pretty things, wants to be a pretty thing, but Eddie thinks he's already there.
