Fics like He Came As A Rat

What would happen, do you suppose, if a Cybertronian with a mammalian alt form fell to Earth once more? Fell down an impossibly deep crevasse in the crust. He wouldn't die. Not all of him, anyway. He was just organic enough that he could survive on food and water alone. But over time, as his metal parts started to atrophy, as time and distance from his people and the injuries of his fall took their toll, would he remember any of his old life as anything more than a dream? As he fought desperately every day for a little more time, would it even matter if he could? As the days became years became decades, as his Earthbound rat identity took over completely, would it even matter that he'd ever been anything before he was Ripred? And once he'd finally come to terms with his new life, what, do you suppose, would happen if a hateful relic of that past was brought forth into the light?
