Fics like The Eternal Bond

Duncan Wu and his sister Jamila haven’t seen each other in eight years. Now, a message from their adoptive father draws them back to Hong Kong—but when they arrive, he’s already gone. To find him, they’ll have to face what tore them apart… and what never really let them go. Can they find out what happened to him—before their past destroys them both? This is a slow-burn Duncan x female protagonist story, told in alternating first-person POV. It follows the arc of Shadowrun: Hong Kong—before, during, and beyond—with significant divergence in character development, plot structure, and worldbuilding. Expect complex emotional dynamics, unresolved desire, and a bond that walks the line between devotion and destruction. Warning: major game spoilers ahead. While grounded in the events of the original, this version expands and rewrites key elements of the setting, including aspects of the shaman class not present in official lore. ***This story updates in true slow-burn fashion — just like them :)***
