Max Noble didn’t have time for pets. He was a businessman on the go, in New York one night and Los Angeles the next, going back in time crossing time zones to be in Sydney, Australia and then be in Tokyo, Japan on the same night he had been in the States. Jet lag was for people who could afford it, and while Max Noble had money to spare, he had places to be and important people to meet, and their time was worth just as much money, if not more. Max Noble didn’t have time for a dog or a cat or anything with fur. Dander made him sneeze and he didn’t feel like paying someone else to take care of, train, and feed a pet that he barely got to enjoy.
