Fics like nothing to lose...

They knew him first as Spider-Man, not as Peter Parker. They don’t care about Peter Parker, just dealt with him because of Spider-Man, and even then, if they knew he was a kid, he wouldn’t have been treated with such respect. As he peered out from over the tower, he found himself saying, “there’s nothing to lose, when no one knows your name.” They didn’t care. But, did they? “There’s nothing to gain,” but public praise, and even then it wasn’t much with J. Jonah. Jameson ranting about how Spider-Man was a menace. “But the days don’t seem to change.” Or; Peter Parker is seriously contemplating killing himself. (The ending to the first part, that will not be canon in this continued universe, but I just wanted to write it.)
