Fics like Ephemeral

Seeing the blinding lights of Hong Kong after being surrounded by the dreary atmosphere of the dark dimension for so very long was like taking his first breath after being resuscitated. There was relief, confusion, anxiety, and fear situated in his very bones, as he looked out to the world he had almost forgotten. He should be happy. His relief should be all-encompassing, and yet… The sorcerer could only feels exhaustion. This place doesn’t feel like home. When Doctor Stephen Strange spends an eternity in the dark dimension, repeating time over and over, it takes a much greater toll on him then he'd have thought. Coming back to earth feels… off. People, places, roles, society, the human world- they all seem so far away and distant. Now, Stephen Strange has to navigate the world he nearly forgot existed and the relationships he left behind as he attempts to remember who he really is.
