Fics like Professional Bot Fighters

Young Hiro Hamada discovers a way to combine dormant nanites - microscopic machines that have infected everything since the lab they were created in exploded five years ago - with controlled robots, creating nanobots. His nanobots were seemingly destroyed, though, in the same fire that killed his brother. Rex gets called in when Providence picks up EVO-level nanite readings in San Fransokyo, but it turns out it's not an EVO - it's professor Callaghan, the robotics professor who set the fire to steal Hiro's nanobots. (Started out as a drabble, turned into something longer.)
