Fics like your own brew of fault and passion

“This? Is just me and you, brother.” Then his boot comes up and kicks Vergil away, and as Vergil doubles over, sticks the tip of Yamato in the ground the way Tony used to lean on his crutch. “But I’m not gonna fight you while you’re half-dead and Nero’s watching,” he says. “I want a real match.” “Was this what all this was for?” Vergil asks, breathing hard. That kick winded him. Fuck. “You didn’t have to go to all this trouble, Dante. I would’ve gladly fought you if you had simply shown up on my doorstep.” “Nah, all this was an unwanted side effect of trying not to die,” says Dante. or: Dante returns to himself, and Vergil loses his shit about it.
