Fics like they’re coming to get me (maybe i’ll let them take me)

“They call me Vecna,” Henry says. “And if I am Vecna, then you- you will be my Acererak. My apprentice. Because, Will Byers, you are just like me.” “I’m nothing like you,” Will insists, shaking his head as he wracks his brain for any information on Acererak from the D&D handbooks he’s pored through so many times. Acererak- saved by Vecna when he was a child, apprenticed under Vecna and saved his life, later became a lich and then a demilich- a demilich. “Besides, aren’t demiliches more powerful than regular liches anyways?” “What?” Henry says, his face contorting, and it’s enough of a distraction that Will is able to run. Things lying dormant are finally awoken. Will is screaming. A Mind Flayer is born.
