Fics like We Are One & I Am Two

"You are alone in your circumstances. No one in the world is like you. No one can help you but yourself. Sometimes you are the most insufferable, sometimes you are your greatest companion." The Elder of the Valley, the Valley Elders, the Valley Elders twins, Sunset – depending on who you ask, they are regarded as one Elder or two Elders. There is much debate surrounding their nature. Why are they are referred to in the singular when there are visually two of them? How did one realm come to be ruled by two Elders? How do they work together or do they even need to? Are they one or two entities inhabiting the same space? Did they ever split from one being or are they twins? Who has asked them what they think? Let them put their word in.
