Fics like loving him was red, burning red

Red was the colour of the cuts on Ant's knees when he fell over drunk on a night out and tore his jeans. It was the colour of the messy heart Dec drew on a napkin when he bought Ant midnight McDonald's to cheer him up, the colour of the ketchup smear on the corner of Ant's mouth that Dec wanted so badly to kiss away. Dec sees red a lot - when he looks at Ant's lips or eats strawberries or feels afraid - but that doesn't mean he's always angry.
