Fics like FORMIDABLE FOES

Set seven years prior to season 1, Wentworth is a hellhole governed by the greedy and power-hungry Derek Channing who colludes with top dog, Lou Kelly, to ensure a smooth running of the prison. Second only to Blackmoore for bent screws and corruption, a war inside Wentworth is about to erupt when Mafia matriarch, Jacqueline “Jacs” Holt enters the system after being found guilty and sentenced to 14 years for murder. With nothing to lose, Jacs plots to dethrone Lou from the coveted role and claim the prison under her rule. The problem is, it’s not Lou’s style to surrender without a fight, where pride and tradition dictates there can only be one winner. “It’s like the fuckin’ Thunderdome in here, ladies! Two inmates enter, one inmate leaves.” – Lou Kelly.
