Fics like vault

Jet Sikuliaq, shortly after beginning to work with Buddy Aurinko, is tossed into a jail cell on the Outer Rim with a scrawny teenage thief. Peter Nureyev, on the run from Brahman authorities, finds himself locked up alongside the Unnatural Disaster. Neither of them want to need the other's help - but they don't have much of a choice. * “You stole something they desperately want back.” Jet guessed, voice flat, and received a tender-looking shake of a bruised head in answer. For a long moment there was silence. Jet didn't mind the waiting. He was, after all, a very patient man. “They think I’m somebody,” admitted the kid eventually, voice thick with blood. There was a hunted-animal look in his eyes. Jet raised his eyebrows. “Who are you?” The faintest hint of an unhappy smile appeared at the edges of the kid’s mouth, fox fangs just showing. “Nobody. Nobody at all.”
