Fics like Down in a Hole

After an altercation over Layne’s rapidly exacerbating drug use, his longtime girlfriend, Violet Blackrock, upon hitting a mental wall, leaves. She goes to Jerry’s to vent and find solace she has no idea where else to look for. They start drinking together and what starts out as a drunken conversation turn into tearful confessions and the excising of wounds. Those confessions inevitably lead to terrible decisions that end up amounting to nothing but painful guilt when viewed in the morning light. Those terrible decisions lead to even more terrible decisions. Until it seems everything just starts to run downhill.
