Fics like Halloween in March

“I-I don’t feel good,” Tim said, while his teeth chattered from the cold. He wouldn’t have said anything, but he remembered the old Batman. He remembered watching him from a rooftop nearby as Dick stumbled and sniffled. He saw Bruce that night—a good man, and a better father— grabbing Dick's hand gently, bending down, and talking to him. “Then go home,” Batman said, never taking his eyes off the door to the warehouse. Tim knew better, he felt stupid for even thinking, for the briefest of moments, that Bruce would show him the same kindness he had once shown his kids. Tim wasn’t his kid, Tim was an asset—as soon as he wasn’t useful, he was worthless. -------- Tim gets sick on patrol; it leads to some revelations and healing.
