Fics like Chris Hackett’s Guide to Lycanthropy Or What to Expect When Becoming a Werewolf

As a new werewolf, it is important to stay close to your pack. Even if you are not blood related, if your wolves have picked people, stick to them, secure your bond. This bond is instantly strong with blood relatives. The urge to be with one’s pack is lessened roughly forty-eight hours after the full moon. If the new werewolf does not stay with their pack, they feel symptoms of anxiety; itching, scratching, listlessness, and the constant need to hear and smell their pack. Symptoms can be slightly alleviated by phone calls. Physical touch works better at soothing the symptoms. Chris observes the changes in the counselors as they adjust to life as werewolves.
